Today I came across a website that contains a few short films and some information about WWI nurses. It's called "100 Years of Nursing on the Prairies." The site is well worth a visit. Here's the address for just one of the short films it has produced: http://www.100yearsofnursing.ca/english/media/player.html?movie=06MacAdams.swf
It describes the contribution of Great War nurse Roberta MacAdams. There is also a film on the work of military nurses from the prairies. Soon I will be posting information about another nurse who died during the First World War. In addition, I'll be sharing the story submitted by a reader about his ancestor's nursing experience during the Halifax Explosion, and her possible connection with the Llandovery Castle.
